Anna Veronica Ross was a young, independent woman, who decided to try her hand at real estate in the 1930's. Anna and her husband bought, sold, and improved homes on the peninsula. By 1944, Anna had founded AVR Realty. Anna was never known to be shy nor modest and named her company as well as her only daughter after herself. Anna's two children, Anna V. and George, joined the family business in 1946 after serving in the military in World War II. Anna V. started AVR's management department and George ran AVR until 1961.
Anna V. took over AVR in 1961. In 1977, Anna V. became the president of the Board of Realtors. Among much resistance and controversy, Anna V. introduced a computer system to the Board of Realtors to replace the old 3-ring binder system. Anna V. had two children, Ross and Gordon Bruce. In 1978, Ross came to work for the family business. Anna V. ran AVR until 1982, when Ross took over as managing broker.
AVR Realty, Inc. has had the same address and phone number since the 1930s. AVR Realty, Inc. remains a trusted staple in the community and continues to serve the peninsula and it's residents with the utmost care and respect.

Ross attended College of San Mateo, San Diego State University, and graduated from San Francisco State University in 1978. Ross holds a degree in Finance with a minor in Real Estate and Urban Development. On his graduation day from San Francisco State University, Ross drove straight over to a home in Burlingame where he listed his first home with cap and gown still in the trunk. In 1982, Ross officially took over for his parents as managing broker, becoming the third generation to run AVR Realty, Inc.

SALLY NAVARRo
Sally has been a real estate agent with AVR Realty, Inc. since 1987. She is not only our rental agent here at AVR but she also does property management and sales. She was born and raised in the bay area and has spent most of her life on the peninsula. Sally is also a notary public.

Ayn gilmore
Ayn started at AVR Realty, Inc. in 2008 at the front desk. In 2012 she also took on the role of property management bookkeeper. In 2017 she became a licensed real estate agent. Ayn attended San Francisco Community College and transferred to the University of California Berkeley where she graduated in 2018 with a degree in psychology. In 2021, she earned her brokers license.
